TYRA'S STEPPING DOWN!!!

After 5 years, Tyra Banks is stepping down from her role as a talk show host. The show is set to wrap up this coming Spring. Tyra told People magazine she will be focusing on the launch of her film production company "Bankable Productions" and also taking huge steps to "reach more women and young girls".

To me personally sounds like Tyra's giving the old cliche answer of "moving on to better things" aka get out or be put out. As a fan of Tyra's it hurts me to say that her show hasn't been the greatest. In 5 years I expected more. Grant it she's on during a time slot when the competition is steep-you've got Ellen at 3 o'clock and Oprah at 4 o'clock. Between Tyra and Oprah's viewers Ellen and Wendy's shows are about to blow through the roof. Not that Ellen needs much help but lets see how well Wendy Williams does with all these changes in daytime talk. Wendy has had a strong come out with her show and hopefully in time the guest will get better (we all know Wendy doesn't have the best rep w/ celebs). The crazy thing is she's more entertaining to watch versus Tyra that does have A-list celebs, larger budget and a much better looking studio.

Kudos to Tyra for stepping down ever so fiercefully. We wish her well.

NFL Player Chris Henry suffers life-threatening injuries

NFL player Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals is battling for his life after being involved in a domestic situation. Reports are stating Henry fell out of the back of a pick up truck allegedly driven by his fiancee Loleini Tonga. The incident occured in Charlotte, NC (which also happens to be the hometown of his fiancee's family. Tonga sustained no injuries and was released after being questioned by police.

Now I'm no forensic expert, but reading between the lines of this "domestic situation", sounds to me she swerved the car until he flew out. Maybe he tried to pull a Richard Jefferson (remember him)

Mr. "I don't want to get married 2 days before the wedding".

Whatever the case, lets hope Chris pulls through.

"Precious" earns THREE Golden Globe noms!

Congrats to Monique and Gabourey Sidibe for receiving Golden Globe nominations for their stellar performances in "Precious". Monique for Best Supporting Actress and Gaby for Best Actress. The movie itself is also up for a Golden Globe in the Best Motion Picture category. Congrats to all!!! Bring on the Oscars next!

VICTOR'S BACK!!!!

The execs over at The Young and the Restless finally reached a new contract agreement with Eric Braeden. Why they even decided to play Russian roulette in the 1st place is beyond me! Terms of the new contract were not disclosed yet soapcity.com says published reports claim Braeden took a half million dollar pay cut in exchange for a 3-year contract. Sounds to me he put those Victor Newman characteristics to good use to get what he wanted in real life. Let's not forget-Sony can't afford ratings to drop in their number 1 daytime drama just. Lesson learned~not wise to upset a Newman.

Braeden's last appearance (for awhile) as Victor will air on November 2nd.

OPRAH'S BEING SUED (what else is new)

ET's reports they've obtained a lawsuit filed by a woman claiming to be a flight attendant on Oprah's private plane. Apparently some of the other flight crew members alleged that she and the chief pilot engaged in inappropriate conduct. *sigh* Looks like this waitress in the sky gave a new meaning to the term cockpit.

Now here's the interesting part of the story-the woman claims that one of the flight crew members that made the allegations was Gayle King's daughter. Is it just me or am I the only one thinking why is Gayle King's daughter a waitress in the sky when her mom's bff is Oprah???? They couldn't find her a job @ Harpo productions or O Magazine???

Anywho-the woman is suing for something like $75-grand which we all know is like $.75 cents to Oprah. Doubt she'll win the case though.

Real housewife Kandi Burress' ex-finace A.J. Jewell has died. A.J. suffered a head injury at an Atlanta night club after a fight broke out. Such sad news for his family and Kandi. Last night's episode showed the two being the most intimate we've seen all season. Kandi still takes care of two of his daughters, even though the two recently broke off their engagement. Its official-fame kills in more ways than one. Looks like that Taylor Swift stunt is not dying down anytime soon. Live Nation (the tours promoter) confirms that "Fame Kills" tour has been cancelled and tickets will be refunded. No statement has been released yet as to why the sudden change change of heart. Gaga probably went Kate Gosselin and said either he goes or I go. Lots of people are still heated over the VMA's.

The Staged Wedding Saga Continues

Who needs a wedding planner when you've got your own show producers telling you how to get married? Listen to the convo via walkie talkie right before Khloe and Lamar's faux ceremony. Sounds like a scene straight from J-Lo's "The Wedding Planner".
I wonder how many takes they had to shoot before the couple got it just right for the cameras. Own up to it Khloe and Lamar!

SEX AND THE CITY 2 SPOILERS!!!!!

Sex & the City is proving that they haven't exhausted every storyline possible with 6 seasons and a movie already. Seriously they should just go and make this into a daytime soap or bring it back on HBO. I wouldn't complain and I'm sure the actors wouldn't either. It's a recession-people need jobs...The new movie is bring some new and old faces (literally at the same time-Liza). The storylines don't look so bad either. Even if the movie does end up being a rehash of everything we've seen before, the fashion won't be disappointing.

Miley Cyrus will reportedly join the Sex & the City cast members for the sequel. It has not been confirmed if she will have a speaking role or not. The storyline will involve Samantha (trying to be young) and Miley walking the red carpet wearing the same dress.

What better finishing touch on a gay wedding than Liza Minnelli herself. Liza will have play some part in Stanford Blatch (Carrie's gay bff) and Mario Cantone (Charlotte's gay bff) wedding ceremony. Not sure if she sings or dances or both-with Liza you never know what to expect.

John Corbett will resurrect his role as Aidan in the sequel. Maybe Carrie will cheat on Mr. Big with Aidan the way she cheated on Aidan with Big way back when. I'm dying to see how this plays out. Last time we saw, Aidan was happily married with a fat baby and a dog-well minus the dog but still it would be nice to see him come out of his "good boy" role.

Samantha wears a wedding dress in the film-doubt she gets married. Since we already know the movie does flashback scenes lets assume the wedding was from back in the day.


The women end up in the Middle East and its somehow related to a Samantha storyline.


Carrie does NOT discover she's pregnant (considering she's like 50 I'm sure she's past the stage of SURPRISE pregnancies).


Charlotte suspects Harry of cheating, but its who she suspects him cheating with that makes it all the more interesting.


Miranda leaves her job and opens a restaurant with Steve. I feel like we've seen this storyline somewhere before...oh wait-we have. (I'm sure Marc Cherry over at "Desperate Housewives" is pissed at SATC stealing his Lynette and Tom Scavo storyline).

Here we go with these two again...So TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are NOT legally married. Remember I said right before the wedding that something seemed a little suspect? TMZ is reporting the real marriage will not take place until the prenup is signed. Lets take dibs on what will last longer the MARRIAGE or ENGAGEMENT???

The NY City Medical examiner says the lethal mixture of cocaine and prescription drugs was the cause of death for DJ AM. They are ruling his death as accidental.

No disrespect to the deceased, but I always wondered why situations like this aren't considered suicide. I mean you shoot yourself in the head-you know the outcome is 99% of the time going to end up in death. So why is it different if you take a lethal amount of drugs-you know you just may not wake up from taking pills AND cocaine! I'm just saying-why should insurance company's pay for a life insurance policy for a drug od but not if you off yourself ACCIDENTALLY with drugs vs ON PURPOSE!

MARIAH'S NEW ALBUM HITS STORES TODAY

Mariah's 12th album "Memoirs of an an Imperfect Angel" dropped today and from the cuts on itunes I'm really feeling the album. Its not quite like Emancipation of Mimi but it does have a nice vibe to it. So if your lazy get it off itunes or if you actually want to get your money's worth with the pretty case and the thank you booklet, go pick it up in the store for the same price as itunes.

Canceled Bachelor Party leading to canceled wedding perhaps????

TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom called off his bachelor party tonight in LA. Odom told TMZ:

"I am extremely thankful to Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian, for agreeing to host my bachelor party this evening at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux. I regret, I will have to cancel this event because I have now decided to have a private dinner with my teammates, a few close friends and of course Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian."

Hmmm....sounds a little suspect. I'm wondering if Lamar is getting cold feet and maybe about to pull a Richard Jefferson. Remember him? He was the Spurs player that jilted his bride at the alter of their $2 million wedding. Well he didn't really leave her at the alter-I mean he did give her a two day notice. Maybe Jefferson put a call into Lamar. Or maybe this private dinner with his teammates is to talk some prenup sense into him.

Meanwhile, Khloe's party must go on. Her friends and sisters are throwing her a bachelorette party at some swanky hotel in L.A. tonight.

Let's hope this couple makes it down the aisle. Or lets not hope-it will have for even better drama.

Who says you can't find love at first sight-or in 5 minutes? Well these two have proved us all wrong. A reported source is telling E! that Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian will get married this coming Sunday. Of course Khloe will neither confirm nor deny the rumor-how dare she ruin her own publicity stunt. I used to wonder what these girls were actually famous for, and now I know-no I don't...still wondering. I guess poor Khloe felt like she wasn't getting enough attention between her sisters so she had to up the ante. Good for you Khloe! Go get your ball player even though you swore you would never date an athlete since they treat you so badly. Hopefully the marriage last longer than the engagement-I doubt it though.

FIRST LETS TALK BEST DRESSED

Lady in Red Toni Collette was the show stopper of the evening. I don't think I've ever seen her look better. This is by far is the best she's looked in years. The hair, makeup and dress all come together perfectly.


Vanessa Williams-need I say more. Love the earrings! Not as big as a fashion statement as last years feather dress yet she still manages to do it right every time. When will this woman ever age?? (I guess never as long as there's botox)



I never really have much to say about the men-I mean how many ways can you wear a tux! Point blank the men always bore me but Alec Baldwin to me was hands down best dressed male. Loving the tie btw. It says a lot about a man when he's dressed better than his date. Much swagger indeed!

Look @ our lil Kelly Bundy!!! Her face screams radiance-makeup is absolutely FLAWLESS! The dress took awhile to grow on me. I was iffy at first but it works for her. The color of the gown really makes her eyes POP! Its a very grown up look for Kelly Bundy.





AND THEN THERE WERE THOSE THAT SHOULD HAVE STAYED HOME...

Not to much going on here with Jennifer Love-Hewitt. Something is missing-a necklace, bigger earrings-SOMETHING. Not feeling the Rapunzel hair either. Trim it down a tad Jenn!



Drew, Drew, Drew-the only thing I'm pleased with is that you got rid of that dusty broomstick hair. Here she's just plain, simple and boring. Not only did she decide to go with a flesh-tone gown but she couldn't dig up a necklace???
