THE BOONDOCKS OFFICIAL RETURN DATE!!!

It's official, the Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder posted on twitter today that the Boondocks Season 3 premiere will be May 2nd!!!I never liked cartoons growing up but after the Boondocks I have a much greater appreciation for animation.

Victoria Rowell from Young & The Restless to join Real Housewives of Atlanta????

Rumors are flying about the possibility of Victoria Rowell (Dru from Young and the Restless) may be joining the Atlanta Housewives cast. This could be like watching a train wreck right before your eyes. Or it may do what it did for Kandi and resurrect her career. I mean seriously~who remembered that Kandi was a member of Escape before Housewives??? I sure didn't. If your a fan of Y&R like myself you'd rather see her back on the show where she belongs and not on a reality show that shows her true colors. It will be good to see Victoria back on tv but I'm not sure how I feel about this. Again this is just a rumor so who knows. There has been heavy talk on Y&R lately about the character Dru so maybe she's headed back over there. I hope they're not planning to recast Dru's character the way they did Malcom as Eddie Winslow...Eddie Winslow though??? Seriously???? I don't even know that man's real name. *sigh*

JOHN MAYER CALLS HIS PEETER WEETER A WHITE SUPREMACIST

John Mayer is getting a lot of heat over his recent interview with Playboy in which he compared his penis to a white supremacist when asked if black women throw themselves at him. Mayer says he needs to date separately from his manhood (whatever the hell that means). Too each his own but poor choice of words for John. I do respect his honesty. At least it lets black women in on his true feelings....I'm wondering if John was high during this interview. Here's bits of the transcript.

FASHION DESIGNER ALEXANDER MCQUEEN DIES!!!

The fashion world is mourning the loss of one of its greatest designer; Alexaner McQueen. The 40-year-old designer was found dead in central London today. His death is not being treated as suspicious. The designer recently lost his mother on February 2. McQueen dressed notable stars such as Rhianna, Janet Jackson, Sarah Jessica Parker and many more. His death comes just a week before London Fashion week is scheduled to begin. More details to come.

OSCAR NOMINATIONS 2010: My Winner Predictions!!!

This award season is probably the best by far in a long time. Starting with the MTV VMA's last year and now wrapping the season up with the Oscars...The noms came out today and just as expected "Precious" made the cut by landing SIX nominations; Best Picture, Best Actress (Gabby Sidibe), Best Supporting Actress (Monique), Best Director (Lee Daniels), Best Editing, and Best Writing (adaptation from a screenplay). Congrats to Precious!!!!

Precious joins nine other films in the Best Picture category. This happens to be the most films in the category in Oscar history. Avatar, The Blind Side, The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, An Education, District 9, A Serious Man, Up, and Up in the Air. With Avatar still the #1 film (probably globally) right now, I think it's safe to say the Oscar will go to them.

Other nominees are Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Carey Mulligan (and Gabbey Sidibe of course) are all nominated for best Actress. My prediction is that this will go to Sandra Bullock for her role in "The Blind Side". She really brought her character to life and made you believe she was Leanne in that movie.

Best Actor nominees are Morgan Freeman, George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth and Jeremy Renner. Hands down George Clooney for "Up in Air".

I think Monique is definitely taking home the Oscar for best supporting actress. Her competition is slim and none in that category. "Up" will take it for best animated film. I'll be watching some of these other nominated films that I haven't seen so I can give my predictions so stay tuned...

BET HONOR AWARDS

...And the shows must go on.Gabrielle Homewrecker Union will be hosting the BET Honor Awards tonight. For those who care enough to still watch BET tune in. I guess it won't be so bad seeing how it is the 1st day of Black History month. Maybe this will actually be a respectable show. We shall see. Whitney Houston is one of tonight's honoree's. No matter what Whitney's been through she does deserve recognition for her work past and present. Especially since she was snubbed last night at the Grammy's.

GRAMMY RECAP!!!

Lets talk about what people really care about regarding last night's grammy's.

1st things 1st-Lets talk about the shocker of last night: How in the hell did Taylor Swift win album of the year? And MORE importantly how did she win over Beyonce AND Lady Gaga? Was I the only one that peeped the expression on Lady Gaga's face when they announced Taylor Swift?? It was definitely a "B%#$@ PLEASE" look. Beyonce did her typical Miss America smile knowing she was pissed and had a true diva moment after it was all said and done.

Thanks again Kanye for helping Taylor Swift get more attention she doesn't deserve nor worked hard for!

As crazy as it sounds but I'm giving best dressed award to Lady Gaga!!!! She never fails to entertain us. Didn't that last ensemble remind you of one of your grandmom's old Christmas ornaments??? I agree with everyone else when I say "Halloween is everyday for Lady Gaga".

Moving on~ Beyonce made history last night by being the only female to take home the most grammy's in (she won 6) one night. Another shocker from last night's events, Beyonce FINALLY publicly recognized Jay Z as her husband. She thanked Hov in one of her numerous acceptance speeches. Some people are making a big uproar about why now is she acknowledging their marriage when its been so hush hush since the beginning of time. With Beyonce being a fellow Virgo like myself I think its past time she become territorial. Mark whats your Bey!!! Stand proud girl (although Jay had a look on his face like WTF) but that's neither here nor there.

Overall the grammy's were not the best last night. People who didn't deserve to win won (ie Taylor Swift), performers gave the same boring performances that they've previously done before (ie Pink) and a bunch of dresses I feel like we've seen before (except Lady Gaga of course).

Speaking of which, didn't we see that same tired naked acrobat performance from Pink a few months ago at the VMA's? She needs to go join cirque du soleil and earn a check because clearly her career is over.

Lets not forget the show stopper~Michael Jackson's kids accepting a grammy on their father's behalf. They speak so eloquently. Paris definitely has that lawyer/politician look going. She's destined for success.

Ok, so here's the thing- we all know what happened last year before the Grammy's-the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident. It's obvious that they have both moved on, but as a woman, I'm sure as this event gets closer you can't help but wonder does she think back to that night...even if she has moved on.

ABC cancels Ugly Betty

Just when Wilhelmina Slater became who I want to be when I grow up, ABC went and canceled Ugly Betty after four seasons. Too bad for the ugly girls of America-there goes their role model. ABC released a cliche statement today saying they have come to a mutual decision to end the show.No real reasons as to why the show is being taken off the air. The show was recently switched from Fridays to Thursdays and now you can't even find it listed on any days on ABC's site. Fans should be thrilled that unlike most good shows that get the ax, Ugly Betty will actually have series finale.

Rihanna's performance on Oprah

So Rihanna is one of the many starts that will be performing this Friday for "Hope for Haiti". Here she is her performance from today's Oprah's show where she sung a Bob Marley song. Quite appropriate for the occasion I must say.

RHIANNA & MAXWELL PERFORM ON OPRAH TOMORROW

Lady O is finally having her take on the situation in Haiti. She's bringing Maxwell and Grammy award-winner and trendsetter Rihanna to perform tomorrow. Wonder what hits each artist will perform??? I'm doubt Oprah and Rihanna will get to do some couch time since the show is geared towards Haiti.

Oprah's also going to talk to Wyclef about what he's witnessed while in Haiti.
